grrrr!!!!! a few days ago, i set up a zbp phone pin to see what that system was all about. it was all going great. i managed to record an audio profile and send a voicemail message. but today it all changed!
now i'm a bit nervous about talking to people (especially people i don't know). so i was a little nervous about going in to a conference with other users. tonight, i logged on, went in to an active conference and sead hi. all going well. until they started asking my questions like: "how old are you?" now i don't like giving out that sort of personal information to people i don't really know. so i felt a little awkward. with everyone in the room holding there breath, i knew i had to think of something quick. i probably should have lied about my age, but i prefer being honest. so i decided to exit the conference.
i log on a few minutes later and change my recorded name to try and appear as someone else. this was incase they were angry at the fact that i left the conference the way i did. i went back in and they recognised me! then they started calling me things like "oh look it's pocket_penis" and telling me to basicly piss off. but the real irritating thing was that they were very quick at deciding to move to a private conference. of course, i didn't get a code. i bet it was the fact that they all hated me in there and the fact that i was back which made them all go private on me! it's just not fair!!!!! this site seems to feel like it's one little group of people who know each other really well and won't let anyone else join. you've just got to look at the number of inactive accounts. just because i'm nervous doesn't mean i'm an idiot and am no good for anything!!!
the same goes for quicknotes. i'm a little bit slow at replying to quicknotes and everyone seems to hate me for that.
oh or it might be that i'm not a premium member. it seems like all the premium members look down on non-premiums and regard them as dirt of the bottom of their shoe. this is also a reason why the staff need to hurry up about when the next free premium draw is going to be.
another reason why people probably hate me is because i have over 800 billion points. i do give lots of points away but it doesn't seem to work!
grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!! it's a shame because i liked this site until tonight. now i'm considering whether to continue logging in or do what many other members have appeared to have done, abandon their account. i might just have to go and join blind-planet! perhaps the members on blind-planet might accept me more as a member.
oh and a note to the CLs/admins who want this topic deleted: remember the zone's number 1 rule: we believe in freedom of speech. that also goes for anyone who wants me banned as a result of this topic.

I can't address all your issues, but I can speak to a few of them. First of all, I am a premium member and do not look down on non-premiums. Second of all, I have been a member for almost five years now and also feel isolated at times. I have tried joining a few ZBP conferences and have felt totally out of place so don't bother anymore. It's not that big of a deal to me. I come on here to read the boards and play games. Occasionally I feel like chatting via quicknotes, but most of the time I don't. I am premium so can be invisible which is what I do most of the time. I realize you can't do this, but you can turn all quicknotes off if you think people are being mean to you. But if you don't enjoy spending lots of time playing games and distracting yourself in other ways, turning all qn's off will make the site boring. There aare all kinds of people on here. Some who never chat in quicknotes but only post to the boards and/or play games. Some never post and do nothing but chat via qn's and/or ZBP. But don't diss the whole site just because a few people didn't like the way you handled yourself on ZBP. Whether or not you like this site is really up to you, not other people.
It is up to you what info you give to whom. Yes there are cliques on here, that's a fact of life, deal with it. There are those of us who will talk to you, not everybody hates you.
The inactive accounts are people who have decided not to come here for many reasons, not just because of the cliques. People live lives outside the zone too.
People are slow sometimes at replying to qn's. I've not seen anyone saying they hate you for not replying in a certain time frame. But perhaps I'm just not logged in when it happens. There are those on dialup, those who multi-task though who are slower, trust me.
Again I've not heard anything about premiums looking down on standard members. Not getting paranoid are we now?
The points thing, come on now Robbie, who really cares how many points anyone has? Look at the points list and see where you are on it.
I am a cl, I don't want this topic deleted, for the reason you said. I don't agree with it, but thats no grounds for deletion. And banned? Oh please, if it was a bannable offence to speak your mind, we'd have few users and no cl's, lol.

people hate me too i just tell em to fuck off, but hey ya cant change em why bother, they aint ruinin the place for me so yeah, be cool i think ya are cool who knows maybe someday once people get to know ya they will be more friendly i don't use zbp but spend time chatting via qns and the boards and stuff. i play games and am a primium member and don't look down on anyone.

Robby, you've said you were leaving before, for good, apparently. So this pathetic little cry for attention does in fact make you nothing more than dirt on the shoe of existance.
To address some of you're other issues, many people are on the site as well as on zbp, so can see you're name on the zbp list, so changing you're name tag is only going to make you look like a dribbling wrekc, and let's face it, you really don't need any more help in that department.
Also, it's not that you are slow at responding to quicknotes, it's just that you are slow in general, and you pout like a wrinkly old granny under an umbrella having just missed the bus. so why not remove the thumb from you're rectum, dry you're little eyes, and have a little sleep on a railway track.
I, too, am a CL, and you've proven you know nothing about the admins or CL's of this site by thinking we would delete this topic. If CL's and admins deleted all board topics that they did not agree with, there would simply be no board topics on this site at all. And God knows this is not a banning offense. Again, if we banned for everything we did not agree with, we'd have no users, an there would not be a Zone. We can only ban someone for violating the TOS, and this certainly does not do it.
I too, do not spend much time on ZBP, but I've never felt unwelcome by other members of the site. I fear you are taking people's reactions far too seriously. There are all kinds of people and personalities on the Zone, and you can't live your life based on what people on an online community think about you. Keep in mind too that Cam is right: changing your ZBP tag will not keep other users from seeing your user name on the ZBP list, or seeing your ID number and knowing who you are that way.
I am premium, and have been for awhile. I have absolutely nothing against standard members. I do get frustrated when standards want the same features as premium members without paying for them, but that's an entirely different issue. I can't say that I've met any premiums who look down on standard members either, so I'm not sure where you're getting that. Again, I think it's a matter of taking things too personally.
One last word of advice. Be careful about posting topics like this, and I don't say that to impede your free speech. However, as you can see by some of the reactions you've gotten, you may only make things worse.
One thing I need to point out is that, when you first joined the conference, you were asked if you got offended easily; your answer was "no."
So we were asking your age. It's not like we wanted to know your first and last name, address, and social security number, LOL!
Changing your tag to disguise who you are just made you look stupid, since we can look at the site at any time and see who's logged into ZBP.

Okay, honestly, you blew this way out of proportion, my dear.
First of all, no one gives a shit about points, like Minh said.
Second, you're obviously easily offended, so you can't tell people that you aren't and expect them not to get a little invasive. And what's wrong with telling people your age? Are you ashamed about it, or something? Like Brooke said, no one asked you for your address and social security number. And the only way you can get to know people is by letting them know information about yourself, and answering their general questions. One of the first questions I ask a person is their age, but they're not obliged to tell. If one is uncomfortable with revealing that information, then they should say so instead of just terminating the conversation without hint or warning.
Third, the zone is just like the rest of the world in that you're going to encounter different personalities. There are mean people, nice people, liars, back stabbers, inviting individuals, and arrogant brutes. I've gotten into more than two arguments with more than two people on here and I've never threatened to leave the sight. I'm not going to let a few people ruin my fun. So you should do the same.
And like it was stated, the ignore feature exists and it's also possible to turn off all qn's.
And zbp is not for everyone. Personally, I like it, but that's just me.
Anyway, look passed this, move on, and I'm sure the world will continue to spin. People agree, people disagree, and we just go on laughing, eating, and peeing.

First of all, people on this site dislike me. People on this site like me, and people on this site just deal with me. This site sort of mirrors the real world with respect to the fact that, not everyone in your life in the real world is gonna necessarily like you. There will always be social and personality conflicts, whether on the zone or in the real world. But that's no reason to wine about them. You pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and find those in the world who do like and respect you for you, and what you have to offer them, and the world. And you stop giving a flying fuck about those who don't like or care about you. Because at the end of the day, ask yourself this question. Are those who don't like me, really worth my time, effort, and brain space to worry about whether they like or approve of me or not? If everyone, whether in the real world or the zone, took people seriously who hated them, the loony bins/psycho wards would be more over flowing than they are now, and mortitions and funeral directors would be even more swamped than they are now.
